Pastor Danny describes himself as a “happy husband and father, a pastor, a part-time semi-professional theologian, a US Marine, a Blues Guitarist with a smokin’ Fender Stratocaster and a sometimes goofball.”
He grew up in San Jose, California, after HS graduation enlisted in the Marine Corps. He had a conversion experience accepting Christ as a young man.
He graduated from California Baptist University and Golden Gate Baptist Seminary and did doctoral work at UC Berkeley Graduate School. Other school studies were with Dallas Theological Seminary and a doctorate from Calvin International University.
Danny brings experience and wisdom into ministry with a gift for preaching the Bible with, as he says, “clarity and charity”.
“I believe in building up and encouraging people in my preaching. God’s Word has the best answer and hope for people. Preaching must result in more than information and inspiration, it must bring transformation. It’s all about changed lives.”
I am the administrative assistant/secretary at Arbor. I’ve been serving in this position for twelve years. Before that I worked at our Christian school as the assistant director for over 12 years and still work over there in the morning with the kids before coming into the church office. I love working in the office and enjoy meeting new people. Also, I volunteer in our Awana program, children’s church and nursery. My hobbies include reading and spending time with my grandchildren and family. Three of my favorite scriptures are Hebrews 11:6, Isaiah 26:3 and Jeremiah 29:13. All three of them talk about God’s faithfulness and how awesome our God is!
