Marine Care

acf-logo_marines150150 Faith Warriors is a volunteer ministry serving the United States Marines who are stationed at the School of Infantry West (SOI) at Camp Pendleton.

Every 5 th Sunday evening, members from this ministry reach out to the Marines by showing our love for them with lots of homemade cookies. We hand out Bibles and tracts as well as being available to counsel and pray with the men as needed or to just be someone to talk to. We collect prayer cards and pray for the men and their families. Faith Warriors has the potential to reach 1,000’s of young Marines each year.

SOI is the first assignment every Marine receives upon graduation from boot camp. SOI only lasts 4-8 weeks, so our time to get to know and support these men individually is relatively short. It is an arduous time of training, after which they are then transferred to other bases for additional training or deployment.

While the Marine Corps trains these men to be the best combat force on the planet, there is little opportunity to develop their spiritual lives. Many have left behind family problems which can be overwhelming for these young men. We are here to support them as best we can.

The goal of Faith Warriors is to serve and honor those who serve our nation by showing them the love of Christ.
